Washers

The use of washers distributes the contact pressure generated when tightening a nut or bolt. This optimum distribution of force ensures that the screw or nut does not dig into the workpiece. This prevents damage to the surface of the workpiece in the area of the screw connection. Washers provide optimum protection for soft materials such as wood and plastic.
