Our cap nuts are made entirely of stainless steel with the specified metric internal thread (ISO standard thread DIN 13-1).
There are three shapes of cap nuts. The domed shape according to DIN 1587 is characterized by its spherical cap. Since the nut is closed on one side by the cap, they have a blind hole thread. In this way, the manufactured screw connection is sealed and the screwed-in bolt is protected from penetrating water as well as dirt and as a result also from rust. The rounded attachment also prevents injuries and damage to other components, because no screw thread protrudes.
Cap nuts are used, among other things, for fastening wheel axles, for bolting to means of transport with moving parts, but also in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and scaffolding. Furthermore, cap nuts according to DIN 1587 are used on constructions for children, such as tree houses, handcarts and playground equipment. Due to their shape and appearance, cap nuts are equally a popular decorative element.
The hexagonal outer contour is tightened with a wrench.
