Our washers according to DIN 125 - also called universal washers - are made of stainless steel and are provided with a centric round hole.
The use of washers distributes the contact pressure, which occurs when tightening a nut or screw. This optimum distribution of force ensures that the screw or nut does not dig into the workpiece. This prevents damage to the surface of the workpiece in the area of the screw connection. Washers provide optimum protection for soft materials such as wood and plastic.
Shims are used in many areas such as in woodworking and gardening, on playground equipment as well as in automotive construction and engine technology.
